Hydro-Chem Systems, Inc., located in Grand Rapids, MI., proudly announces their new product for vacuum extraction called "Asphalt Extractor". Production is set to begin in late March with deliveries beginning in April, just in time for the 2009 season. Under the new standards for 2009, labs performing vacuum extractions would be limited in purchasing options to the point where an out of state supplier would almost have a monopoly on the market. Scott Harmsen, Director of Business Development for Hydro-Chem Systems states "Asphalt companies located in Michigan will now have a local more cost-effective alternative. We would like to keep business in Michigan instead of out-of-state suppliers shipping products in." Deliveries to most areas are available via Hydro-Chem trucks on regularly scheduled delivery routes. Scott Harmsen also said they will be offering specially discounted pricing to introduce the product for 2009.

In business since 1971, Hydro-Chem Systems, Inc. - an employee-owned company, has long been the leader in fleet washing systems and products. As a manufacturer specializing in custom formulated soaps and detergents, Hydro-Chem has excelled at responding to opportunities in new markets including the asphalt industry. In recent years other major product developments include "Extreme Release", a water-based release agent for truck beds and paving equipment, which was developed at the request of a major asphalt roller manufacturer.
